Tomorrow Never Dies

Who hasn't been following the James Bond festival on e-tv? Yeah I know it's cheesy, but that's the point. Last night I watched Tomorrow Never Dies and realised that the reason I don't like the newer, re-invented James Bond (played by Daniel Craig) is that he's far too serious. I loved the horribly cheesy one-liners pulled off by Pierce Brosnan. While I was rarely a fan of him playing James Bond (I think that Rodger Moore looked the part the best - Sean Connery simply was the greatest actor to have played the part, but didn't really look like the dashing British Agent) I couldn't help but think that he's the best of the bad bonds (Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig... and who can forget George Lazenby? [who?]).

Well here's the theme tune to Tomorrow Never Dies by Sheryl Crow. Really have to love the way she is able to go from rock to an almost sultry jazz style. Oh, and I still think she has like the greatest hair ever!

Darling I'm killed
I'm in a puddle on the floor
Waiting for you to return
Oh what a thrill
Fascinations galore
How you tease
How you leave me to burn
It's so deadly my dear
The power of having you near

Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say there'll be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Tomorrow never dies

Darling you've won
It's no fun
Martinis, girls, and guns
It's murder on our love affair
But you bet your life
Every night
While you chase in the morning light
You're not the only spy out there
It's so deadly my dear
The power of wanting you near

Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say there'll be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Tomorrow Never Dies...

Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say there'll be no more goodbyes
See it in your eyes...

Until the day... Until the day... Until the day.......

Hmmm... martinis and girls I'll do, but think I'll leave the guns.
