Baby One More Time

It seems like an age since I last added anything by Britney, so here goes.

Okay, while today's song may have put her on the map, so to speak, I was never really a fan until her second album (for the record I do have both though). This particular song was covered by Marty Casey on the reality show, "Rock Star Supernova". I thought it was hysterically funny. The band had decided that he needed to lighten up a bit and figured by taking him right out of any form of comfort zone that he could show a whole new dimension. Not sure that it turned out quite the way it was intended, but was amusing and I guess if I had a shot on stage I'd mix it up like that anyhow.

"Baby One More Time" may seem like a very simple track to get down, but it's really a lot more complicated than it seems. While still not near my top 10 Britney tracks, it like so many of the others just makes me stop and smile for a bit.

I guess in many cases this is a precursor to "Stonger" (which is still my ringtone), either way I guess we're all looking for a sign, one way or the other.
