Everytime

Don't know why, but this one just jumped into mind.

This one from Britney (yup what can I say... it's bubblegum pop or metal for me). Things slowly fading... into the darkness of night.

Notice me
Take my hand
Why are we
Strangers when
Our love is strong
Why carry on without me?

Everytime I try to fly
I fall without my wings
I feel so small
I guess I need you baby
And everytime I see you in my dreams
I see your face, it's haunting me
I guess I need you baby

I make believe
That you are here
It's the only way
I see clear
What have I done
You seem to move on easy

And everytime I try to fly
I fall without my wings
I feel so small
I guess I need you baby
And everytime I see you in my dreams
I see your face, you're haunting me
I guess I need you baby

I may have made it rain
Please forgive me
My weakness caused you pain
And this song is my sorry

Ohhhh

At night I pray
That soon your face
Will fade away

And everytime I try to fly
I fall without my wings
I feel so small
I guess I need you baby
And everytime I see you in my dreams
I see your face, you're haunting me
I guess I need you baby

I guess we're all just waiting for our wings... It's about time to take flight.

  1. It amazes me how you jump from the bubble gum pop to the metal. I'd love to be inside your head just to see how that transition works ... lol!
On that note ... I love that you can do that ;-)

  2. Hahaha... actually there have been a good few bands that do that on regular occasion. :) Solid, well written music remains so, regardless of the genre. I mean, people think Beethoven and think classical - but this guy rocked so hard that he went DEAF!! I mean, really.

If you ever get a chance, check out Nuclear Blast's "Tribute to ABBA". You might be pleasantly surprised at how heavy you can go with bubblegum pop ;)

And who could forget Marty Casey doing "Hit me baby one more time" on Rockstar INXS?
    here

Jumping from one scene to the next, some might just say that it's simply a case of split/multiple personality ;)
