Summer's Rain

Well it's been quite a while since I posted a Savatage track... so, it just has to be time to return to the greatest band, EVER!!

"Summer's Rain" comes from their album Gutter Ballet a prelude if you like to Streets. The last few tracks from this are all themed around insanity, recovery and dependency. If you can't relate to those in some kind of a way, you really need to get out more!

Standing alone in a dream
Where nothing is real
But oh how real it feels
There were times I lost my way
I was alone, lost in a haze
Where are you now
I'll find you somehow

And do I stand alone
Like a fool out in the rain
Hanging on somehow
To an ancient vow
Where there's nothing left to gain
And do you know
How it feels inside
To be all alone
A fool and his pride

Scars are the wounds that we show
Time only heals
When you're letting go
Many night I'd lay awake
Tossing and turning till daybreak
Where are you now
I'll find you somehow

And do I stand alone
Like a fool out in the rain
Hanging on somehow
To an ancient vow
Where there's nothing left to gain
And do you know
How it feels inside
To be all alone
A fool and his pride

In a summer's rain
In a summer's rain
In a summer's rain
In a summer's rain

Sometimes you got to believe
Beyond yesterday
I'm gonna find my way
In the summer's rain
In a summer's rain
In a summer's rain
In a summer's rain
I'm gonna find a way
Run away
Far away

There is something magical about summer's rain, just keep believing and you'll find your way.
