Run

For some bizarre reason I've got a Snow Patrol song stuck in my head. Stranger yet is that it's the Leona Lewis version of "Run".

I guess the line, "I know we'll make it anywhere away from here" sums up a lot of where I once was. Anywhere else was a better, safer place to be. But in the end, possibly just running away from myself?

While this particular song was no doubt written with more than a single person involved, sometimes I guess we need to just talk to ourselves and carry ourselves over certain hurdles. Guess that's why every witch or wizard always had a familiar... an extension of themselves. That other part that makes us who we are.

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

I guess when you're running into the dark a little light always helps. Be that light...
