Let it Rain

Well I'm going to say that winter must be officially here. Okay, I'm calling it winter, but while it is raining (in a summer rainfall area) it's still really just autumn.

Today's tune, "Let it Rain" is by The Awakening may seem another morbid choice to start the weekend. Who said that the whole Goth scene was so somber?

I was ultimately drawn to the lines:
I've had to go and leave the doubtful tears behind
Because the glow, well I could see it fading

I'll read that as a case of having to move on or you'll simply miss out on what could be. How often are we held back by tears, self doubt or just fear only to realise staring at nothing more than the last of the embers that it's just too light, the fire is gone?

I need to know all the truths behind the lies
I need to show the guilt that is inside me

Try to grow, a little sun and rain to die
Try to grow, apart from this escaping

Actions for the words
Linear touche
Actions killed the first
Border on insane

So let it rain

Little child with war in her eyes
Little false summation
Little war taken for a slide
Time for lost salvation

I've had to go and leave the doubtful tears behind
Because the glow, well I could see it fading

Actions for the words
Linear touche
Actions killed the first
Border on insane

So let it rain...

Little child with war in her eyes
Little false summation
Little war taken for a slide
Time for lost salvation

Oh clouds are overhead
Oh sentimental shade
Oh why am I scared

Let it rain.....

I'll say let the rain fall down and wash away sanity. Let the rain fall down because I'll not lose the light to the distance.

Let It Rain

Well, summer has decided to come knocking with some rather warm days predicted this week. Sadly we're still not expecting much rain with just a little expected on Friday.

Don't think many are surprised that the more country sound isn't really my scene, but as always, provided the artist puts something in, I'll get something out. This one by Amanda Marshal, "Let It Rain" which reminds me somewhat of Hillary Duff's, "Coming Clean".

I have given, I have given
And got none
Still I'm driven by something I can't explain
It's not a cross, it is a choice
I cannot help but hear his voice
I only wish that I could listen without shame

Let it rain
Let it rain on me
Let it rain, oh let it rain
Let it rain on me

I have been a witness to the perfect crime
I wipe the grin off of my face to hide the blame
It isn't worth the tears you cry to have a perfect alibi
Now I'm beaten at the hands of my own game

Let it rain
Let it rain on me
Let it rain, oh let it rain
Let it rain on me

It isn't easy to be kind
With all these demons in my mind
I only hope one day I'll be free
I do my best not to complain
My face is dirty from the strain
I only hope one day I'll come clean

Let it rain
Let it rain on me
Let it rain, oh let it rain
Let it rain on me

Come take my hand
We can walk to the light
And without fear
We can see through the darkest night

Let it rain
Let it rain on me
Let it rain, oh let it rain
Let it rain on me

Somehow, things always seem so much better after a little rain.
